Big Lots closed its doors a month or so ago. I believe they still have one in Salem. They have fairly good prices but a lot of irregulars and seconds so watch out for that.

I like shopping here. You get a good selection of household and decor items. I like some of the little dressers and decor stuff. Some of it is really different. I found a pair of really cute sheer, silky embroidered curtains--and I've never seen any like that before. The prices are more than reasonable. I have gotten a couple little novelty/seasonal items that have not been functional, but they were very inexpensive, so not too big a deal. I've noticed some of their rugs and pillows have been dirty, so that's a turn-off. The staff is ok. Nothing to brag about, but nothing to complain about.

This is the place to go if you want quality products at a very good price. I like that they have European foods from the Turkish, Hungarian, Bulgarian or German cuisines, just to mention a few. If you really pay attention you can find some great bargains ranging from foods to automotive.

Big Lots carries just about anything you need at a great price. Household, automotive, hardware, garden, or food they've got it all. The store is always clean and well stocked, the clerks are friendly and very helpful, parking is abundant and the prices are low. Their stock rotates weekly, so they always have different items available.
